On Global Gongs, the story in Couperus's The Silent Force is experienced from the Javanese characters in the book. It is made tangible and visible what lived on the side of the Javanese. How did the inhabitants of Indonesia look at the migrants from the west in 1900?
Recorded in 2021 the performance Ritual Bells, Global Gongs. 350 years of history between the Netherlands and Indonesia from the VOC period to the return of the Dutch East Indies. In song and music on the Global Gongs the stories, experienced from different perspectives, are told.

Met een strippenkaart kan je als cursist wekelijks lessen krijgen op de Global Gongs. Het repertoire bestaat uit een staalkaart van verschillende wereldmuziek ritmes bewerkt tot composities, minimal music klassiekers en arrangementen van traditionele gamelan en klassieke muziek.
Met dit repertoire leer je de verschillende soorten gamelan instrumenten bespelen.
