During the Early Music Festival in Hoorn, Ensemble Global Gongs will play new and old work from Sinta's extensive colorful and sound repertoire. In addition, the musicians and dancers accompany you during a musical procession from the Roode Steen to the concert location.

Ensemble Global Gongs will perform work that Sinta Wullur has composed especially for this ensemble she founded. The ensemble's oeuvre varies from intimate small-scale compositions to multidisciplinary music theatre. The ensemble's name refers to the instrument it plays: the Global Gongs. Global Gongs was developed by Wullur. It is one instrument that consists of 80 Javanese hanging and lying gongs: it looks oriental and sounds western.

This afternoon Ensemble Global Gongs will play in Amanda Umbra, among others. Amanda Umbra is a wayang cardboard show. The wayang (puppets) were specially developed for this performance and made by puppet maker and performer Rop Severien. Rop is assisted during the performance by Marijke de Braal. The performance, a composition by Sinta Wullur and libretto by Alexandra Duvekot, is an ode to the young American poet and activist Amanda Gorman. Sinta Wullur sings the story in improvised recitatives and Sprechgesang with a female choir. Guest musicians are saxophonist Koen Boejinga, flutist Ned McGowan and soprano Madeline Saputra.
